We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator with a specialty in sanitary welding for food production to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding and stainless-steel fabrication, with a strong focus on maintaining hygienic and sanitary conditions for food production equipment. This role involves fabricating, installing, and repairing stainless steel equipment and piping systems that adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Pay Range $70,000-$90,000 DOE

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location: LMW – Fresno, CA

Core Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components, ensuring all welds meet sanitary and hygienic standards for food-grade equipment.
Preform TIG and MIG welding on all metals, including purge welding of process pipe
Fabricate and assemble custom equipment, piping, and structural components for food production process
Install and repair sanitary piping, ensuring proper flow, minimal contamination risk, and compliance with food safety standard
Work closely with engineers, production teams, and maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of all food production equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of tools and work area, following strict food safety protocols to avoid contamination.
Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Document work processes and inspections in compliance with company and industry regulations.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, with a focus on sanitary welding for the food production industry.
Proficient in TIG welding techniques and stainless-steel fabrication.
Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitary regulations
Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of safety procedures, particularly in food production settings.
Basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate power tools and welding equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces if needed.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in the food processing, pharmaceutical, or dairy industries
Certifications in welding, such as AWS (American Welding Society) are a plus.
