About the Opportunity

The Wedding Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for wedding parties and guests upon arrival for their cruise. This position is responsible for coordinating logistics, overseeing event execution, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience. Success in this role is measured by guest satisfaction, management evaluations, and peer feedback.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house restaurant staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the preparation and service of food and beverages, maintaining high-quality standards that align with customer preferences.
  • Train and develop restaurant staff to provide outstanding customer service while upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Work with management to develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant performance and profitability.
  • Review and communicate event details in advance, confirming final arrangements with the Point of Contact (POC).
  • Arrive early on the wedding day to oversee vendor arrivals and coordinate the setup of décor, ceremony, and reception spaces.
  • Collaborate with event leadership (DJ, Captain, Chef, Restaurant Manager) to ensure the smooth flow of key moments, such as the ceremony, first dance, and cake cutting.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the event, ensuring exceptional service and attending to the needs of the bride and groom.
  • Assist with post-event breakdown, ensuring the proper return of décor and supplies, and providing feedback to management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of guest service experience required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong customer service, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to effectively assess situations, identify key issues, and propose solutions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a well-groomed appearance and adhere to company uniform standards.
  • Availability: Must be available for nights, weekends, and all major holidays as required.
