Job Description

This role involves taking meal orders and serving evening meals to our assisted living residents, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet residents, provide water, introduce yourself, and offer drinks or coffee.
• Inform residents of the daily special and take their meal orders, confirming accuracy.
• Relay orders to the cook.
• While orders are being prepared, dish up desserts, refill drinks, and clear dishes.
• Serve meals promptly and continue offering drink refills.
• Clear tables and reset them for the next service.
• Complete food preparation tasks such as slicing citrus fruit, portioning cottage cheese, applesauce, condiments, and salad dressings.
• Run dishes through the dishwasher as you clear them.
• Ensure all dishes are cleaned, dried, and stored properly before leaving.
• Keep the walk-in cooler clean and organized.
• Prepare necessary items for the next shift.

Qualifications:

• Friendly and responsive with a positive attitude.
• Ability to maintain high cleanliness standards and adhere to sanitation guidelines.
• Capable of following both written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to attend training sessions to enhance skills.
• Eager to learn and contribute to improving the food service department.
• Availability to work weekends when needed to cover shift shortages.
• Proactive in identifying and addressing tasks that need to be done, including cleaning and assisting teammates.
