We are currently recruiting for an individual with experience of transport planning, based at our Durham Gate office, Spennymoor. This role is being offered as an office based role, 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll be the first point of contact for all sales and distribution queries and be responsible for the skilful and efficient delivery of products from our Quarries and Plants across the region.
- Taking inbound calls & emails from customers and placing orders
- Communicating effectively with the Logistics, Commercial & Production teams
- Proactively tracking orders through to completion
- Dealing with enquiries and complaints
- Maintaining a database of customer information
- Working as part of a team to achieve Key Performance Indicator targets
- Maintaining high levels of professionalism in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Full Compliance with Competition Act 1998
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Knowledge of the Construction & Transport industries (not essential)
- Experience in transport planning and can demonstrate knowledge of road haulage
- A hard-working approach with a can do attitude
- Ability to manage competing deadlines & anticipate problems and potential solutions
- Effective communication & exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail & good computer skills
