Job Title: Tax Associate (Part-time)
Duration:3-months contract
Location: Juneau, AK 99801
Pay Range: $45-$50/hr.
Role Overview:
As a Tax Associate (Credentialed), you will work directly with clients to provide tax advice and resolve inquiries. This is a seasonal, customer-facing role, with access to virtual tools and opportunities to collaborate with other tax experts. At the end of the season, there may be opportunities to return for following seasons.
Key Requirements:
- Must have a valid PTIN
- Minimum 3 years of paid tax preparation experience preparing federal and state 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
- Ability to file any of the tax packages: Basic, Deluxe, Premier, and Full-Service products
Qualifications:
- Experience answering tax questions related to individual (1040) returns, including all schedules/forms
- PTIN
Notes:
- Offers will be made on an ongoing basis based on resume screening and Glider Assessment
- Start date is TBD but expected around Feb 2, 2025
- Must complete and pass 40 hours of paid training (self-paced but must be completed within 40 hours)
- Equipment and training will be provided
- If training is not completed and passed, candidates will not be able to sign up in the Tax Support Schedule tool to assist customers.
