Job Overview – Staff Accountant (Property):

Join our client as a Staff Accountant in Montgomery County, PA, contributing to property accounting success. This hybrid role focuses on delivering precise financial reporting, supporting investor outcomes, and fostering team collaboration. Ideal for a recent graduate or a detail-oriented professional with a proactive mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.

Compensation: $55,000 – $60,000/year + bonus

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant (Property):

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly management reports with commentary.
  • Property Accounting: Manage Net Operating Income worksheets, recovery calculations, and annual reconciliation work papers for properties.
  • Tenant Relations: Resolve CAM, property tax, and insurance issues, and coordinate tenant audits.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and variance reporting.
  • Revenue Accounting: Perform monthly rent reconciliations and post related charges to tenant accounts.
  • Collaboration: Work with collections and leasing teams to resolve tenant issues and maintain accurate communication.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant (Property):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates are preferred).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of property accounting or corporate accounting experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in spreadsheet analysis and mainframe systems, with strong time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attributes: Team-oriented with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a proactive, organized approach to tasks.
