Sr. Product Manager / Head of Product Innovation – AI & Machine Learning – Mission Driven Health Startup
Location: Redwood City, CA (you can work from home 5 days every 2 weeks)
The company’s product is in the realms of health, mobile, AI, augmented reality, computer vision, HR benefits, and retail. It is a mission-driven company.
The company was named one of Fast Company’s most innovative companies under 50 employees. Its founder has been named to Forbes 30 under 30.
The company has raised series B funding and thousands of customers including many Fortune 500 companies. It has about 50 employees and 13 engineers and is rapidly growing.
The company will pay a salary up to $220k, plus annual performance bonuses (up to 20% of salary) and equity which could be lucrative.
Job Responsibilities:
– Reporting directly to the CTO and working alongside the existing Head of Product (who is focused on the existing product)
– Owning the development of new product features and product lines focused on machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and cutting-edge tech.
– This is a pivotal role designed for a visionary who excels at taking ideas from zero to one, opening new markets, and establishing new business lines.
– All responsibilities will require cross-functional collaboration, working with sales, marketing, customer success, operations, and leadership, to achieve product vision and execution goals.
Time spent will be roughly as follows:
– 30% Product Vision & Strategy. Developing innovative strategies to drive the product roadmap, focusing on ML, AI, and novel tech applications in healthcare. Identifying potential partnerships with tech and healthcare companies that align with the company’s innovation goals.
– 30% User Research and Customer Insights. Conducting customer interviews and market research to shape product features and ensure market alignment.
– 20% Project Management. Overseeing sprint planning, milestone tracking, and project prioritization to ensure efficient and timely execution.
– 20% Product Development. Writing PRDs, defining milestones, and creating high-level and tactical product plans to align cross-functional teams and drive consensus.
Qualifications:
– Proven track record of taking products from zero to one, with a focus on innovation.
– Experience developing products involving Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.
– Strong technical foundation with proven ability to collaborate successfully with engineering teams.
– At least 8 years of professional experience as a Product Manager.
Nice to have:
– Experience in the health tech space.
– Startup experience.
– Founder experience.
– Experience launching highly successful new product lines for a top tech company.
– Computer science degree.
– MBA from a top school.
– Experience with products involving computer vision.
