What You’ll Do in This Role
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in brand standards and creative design strategy, ensuring alignment with company guidelines, organizational goals, and current design trends. Regularly educate and guide the creative team.
- Lead brainstorming, design thinking, and collaboration sessions to develop innovative creative concepts.
- Provide ongoing feedback and critiques to ensure all creative work aligns with brand identity and strategic objectives.
- Effectively manage time and resources to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Work closely with the marketing strategy team to design and produce a wide range of materials, including direct mail, brochures, marketing collateral, seminar invitations, print ads, flyers, forms, emails, and more.
- Partner with marketing communications team members to develop creative strategies that effectively engage target audiences.
- Oversee creative initiatives, ensuring they contribute to team and organizational success.
- Support ad hoc creative needs, such as developing print materials, banners, social media ads, and digital media assets.
- Develop visually impactful and promotional content for both print and digital platforms while adhering to company branding and production requirements.
- Determine layout, typography, graphics, and design elements based on available space and project direction.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors (printers, publishers, email marketing platforms, etc.) to execute marketing communication initiatives efficiently.
- Uphold brand standards across all print and digital media to maintain consistency and quality.
- Serve as a project lead for marketing campaigns, working closely with leadership, marketing support, and project stakeholders to understand the market, shape creative strategy, and oversee campaign execution.
- Manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality control while adapting to shifting needs.
- Prepare and finalize design files for external vendors, ensuring seamless production and distribution.
- Provide design support for company-wide initiatives, such as photography, logo creation, point-of-purchase (POP) displays, and trade show materials.
- Organize and maintain digital archives for all creative assets and project files in an accessible and structured manner.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design for print and digital media (preferred).
- Web design experience required; programming experience preferred.
- Familiarity with email marketing and distribution platforms (preferred).
- Strong communication skills—professional, courteous, and effective in both written and verbal interactions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including adaptability, patience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong decision-making abilities, with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor and educate team members.
- Advanced knowledge of print media, graphic design principles, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in web and HTML design.
- Basic understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Broad knowledge of graphic design tools, digital resources, and print production processes.
- Ability to develop engaging print and email designs on a PC platform (as opposed to Mac).
