Onward Search is a specialized education staffing and talent solutions company that helps educators, therapists, and school health professionals find top jobs with the nation’s top schools. We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative school team in the Greater Chicago Area . This is a full-time contract, in-person position starting in early January 2025 and runs through the remainder of the 24/25 school year.

Details You Should Know:

  • Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
  • Schedule: 5 days/week
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours:32.5 hours a week
  • Caseload:13 students
  • Grade Level:Early Childhood

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom.
  • Provide therapy in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress updates.
  • Educate staff and families on speech and language development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Illinois State SLP License and Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
