Responsibilities

Utilize AMS curriculum standards to teach students at both above- and below-grade levels through differentiated instruction.

Participate in weekly professional development and collaborate with grade-level teams and professional learning communities.

Communicate regularly with parents and lead parent-student-teacher conferences to support student progress both in and outside the classroom.

Work with administrators and staff to create an environment that meets students’ academic and behavioral needs.

Track student performance using measurable data and implement strategies to drive academic growth.

Contribute to the enhancement of educational practices and procedures in collaboration with the AMS network.

Utilize Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and proactive intervention strategies to help students develop essential social and emotional skills for future success.

Annual salary range: $45,553.48 – $51,435.44 (DOE)

$10,000 stipend for Arizona State Special Education Certification

Minimum Qualifications
-
Arizona State Certification in Special Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Education OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with at least two years of K-8 teaching experience

Passion for supporting Title I and ESL students in underserved communities on their path to college

Ability to pass a background check and obtain an IVP fingerprint clearance card

Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction

Adaptability and willingness to deliver a rigorous, established curriculum
