‘My wife and I ate there today and the wood-fired pizza is great! Nadia the owner, is from Italy and she doesn’t serve the typical American-style pizza. So no pepperoni for you! Expect the menu to be different from what you are used to, because it is better than what you are used to. Limited seating, but she is geared towards takeout for now. The community tables were nearly full and many folks were coming in and out placing and picking up orders during lunch. Great little place, friendly service, and the food was great. We will be back!’

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Gusto Napoletano in Fayetteville, NC. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the head chef in preparing and cooking authentic Italian wood-fired pizzas, creating innovative dishes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food quality and presentation meet the restaurant’s standards.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills in from-scratch cooking
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with kitchen staff
- Strong attention to detail and passion for creating high-quality dishes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
