 Role Purpose

Social Media Manager: Strategy & Planning

As a Social Media Manager, you will design and implement a dynamic social media strategy that supports IDP’s domestic marketing objectives. This includes identifying target audiences, current trends, and best practices to enhance engagement and boost brand visibility.

 Content Creation & Management

  • Collaborate on the development of creative and engaging content.

  • Schedule, manage, and publish content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Partner with design teams to deliver visually captivating assets.

  • Ensure all posts reflect IDP’s brand voice and guidelines.

 Campaign Execution

  • Plan and manage organic social campaigns to highlight key initiatives.

  • Track, analyze, and report campaign performance with actionable insights for continuous improvement.

 Community Engagement

  • Engage actively with social communities, responding to comments, messages, and queries in a timely manner.

  • Build and maintain influencer and partnership relationships to extend the brand’s social presence.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audience engagement initiatives.

  • Grow strategic audiences on Instagram and TikTok.

  • Boost brand awareness for WU & CUG.

  • Generate leads through social media campaigns.

  • Collaborate effectively across internal teams.

  • Manage influencer partnerships and marketing collaborations.

 Required Experience

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role within education, tech, or services industries.

  • Strong copywriting skills with an ability to tailor content for each platform.

  • Experience using social media management tools like Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or Buffer.

  • Proficient in analytics tools such as native platform insights.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Basic graphic and video editing abilities (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).

  • Experience with influencers and brand ambassador programs.

  • Good understanding of SEO principles and their connection with social media.

  • Strong team collaboration skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
