About the Job
Spoonflower, part of the Shutterfly family, seeks a Social Media Manager to oversee their social media presence, including paid and organic strategies. This role involves crafting impactful content, managing campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, and leading a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in social media advertising and organic growth, along with experience in digital advertising and team leadership.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing paid social media strategies, creating and optimizing ad campaigns, mentoring junior team members, collaborating with the organic social team, analyzing campaign performance, and staying updated on industry trends. For organic social, the manager will lead the team, develop and execute strategies, manage the content calendar, and engage the Spoonflower community. Reporting and analysis are crucial, requiring monitoring, measuring, and reporting on campaign effectiveness, using data insights to refine strategies, and presenting recommendations. Collaboration and communication with the marketing team and external partners are also essential.
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in social media advertising and affiliate marketing. Experience leading teams and mentoring direct reports is necessary. Proficiency in social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential. Experience with influencer marketing, SEO knowledge, and familiarity with marketing automation tools are preferred.
