Social Media Manager – The Class (NYC)
The Class, a mindful wellness company with a global digital presence and studio operations in NY and LA, seeks a Social Media Manager to oversee and innovate on all owned social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube). We offer a music-driven practice that exercises the body to engage the mind, creating new tools for experiencing life.

Founded in 2011 by Taryn Toomey, The Class offers a “wringing out” of the body, mind, and soul through physical conditioning and mindfulness. We are headquartered in NYC and growing our passionate team.
About the Role:
The Social Media Manager will manage, develop, and innovate on all existing and upcoming owned social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an aligned brand position and content roadmap (with VP of Digital Marketing approval).
- Develop, plan, and execute a weekly social calendar across all organic channels, supporting new launches and promotions.
- Develop our YouTube strategy (in collaboration with the VP of Digital Marketing).
- Create, source, script, and post daily content.
- Capture and create assets for social media.
- Monitor and engage users, including comment management and UGC promotion.
- Be a social media subject matter expert, guiding content creation and strategy.
- Use data analytics to track performance and generate actionable insights.
- Grow The Class’ social media presence and engagement.
- Support brand partnerships and influencer initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Marketing, Studio, Digital Product, Partnerships, Creative) to develop compelling, on-brand content.
- Write compelling social media copy.
- Learn and refine the brand voice, tone, and key messaging.

What you’ve done:
- 5+ years of related social media experience, emphasizing short-form reel content.
- Portfolio demonstrating content creation skills (required – applications without portfolios will not be considered).
- Short-form reel content experience is required.
- YouTube growth experience (professional or personal) preferred.
- Proven ability to identify and implement emerging trends.
- Experience in high-level content strategy and hands-on production. On-camera experience preferred.
- Experience in fast-paced, founder-led startup environments.
- Video production experience (in-app creator tools, video editing software like Adobe Premiere).
Salary:
$75,000–$105,000 (commensurate with experience, skill set, education, and market demands).
