Immediately hiring a Shipping / Receiving Clerk with a solid background in crane operation and proficiency in reading tape measures. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the steel industry. You will be working day shift, 6:30am-3pm. Must be able to load/unload large steel pieces on flatbeds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate cranes to load and unload steel products.
- Utilize tape measures accurately to verify product dimensions.
- Keep meticulous records of shipments, receipts, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to manage stock levels.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of steel materials.
- Perform regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a Shipping / Receiving Clerk, ideally within the steel industry.
- Skilled in crane operation.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting tape measures.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledgeable about warehouse safety standards.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various conditions.
