Job Purpose

To strive for internal and external customer delight though the effective management of raw material and finished goods orders from order receipt into UKM to receipt by customer. Broad outline of role is from customer order placement to customer receipt including booking of transport, documentation and queries around the shipment of goods and routings/capabilities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Internal & Outbound Shipping

  • Undertaking end-to-end goods transportation activities for the shipment of finished goods, raw materials and other consumables
  • Completion of Dangerous Goods paperwork for all modes of transport and destinations
  • Ensuring Customer specific requirements are met and charged accordingly, and ensure goods are picked, documented and delivered to the terms set in the sales order
  • Management of 3PL shipments though the relevant channels. Working with CS Sales and Sales US on orders. Liaising with CS Sales to resolve shipping queries
  • Creation of relevant entries for customs and ensuring documentation complies with ADR/IATA/customs requirements
  • Filing and retention of shipping records as required by HRMC (6 years, plus current year)
  • Ensure compliance to legal and company requirements (i.e. SOP’s) and maintain qualification to IATA/IMDG requirements, supported by CPL as part of ongoing CPD

Order Management and shipping of RM’s

  • Stock management, liaising with purchasing and ordering division.
  • Grouping orders based on shipping constraints, creating pick sheets/labels for Despatch and creation of shipping packs.
  • Resolve any queries that arise and deal with urgent request for RMs.
  • Managing Encap.

General – Supporting the colleague social plan for BX – organisation, long service cakes and arrangements, etc.

Skills And Attributes Required

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have relevant experience in dangerous goods shipping, logistics and/or production flow.
  • Have strong skills in Microsoft Office and ability to work with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Be self-motivated with positive attitude, and the willingness to learn and develop.
  • Have a desire to find solutions to challenges, seeking support from colleagues for best effective.
  • Able to work independently and as team player.
  • Willing to adapt to the needs of the team, throughout different areas.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, being clear in sharing information, even in difficult situations.
  • Pay attention to detail.
  • Have good time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to multitask, even when under pressure.
