Shift Maintenance Electrician – Westminster

About the Role:
EQUANS, a leading energy and services contractor and part of the Bouygues global group, is seeking a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated team at a prestigious central government building in Westminster.

This permanent, shift-based role involves working 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, with day shifts only (07:00 – 19:00).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the M&E Shift Supervisor.
  • Performing electrical and mechanical maintenance across buildings and plant systems.
  • Conducting planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Completing necessary documentation and recommending material replacements when needed.
  • Supervising specialist sub-contractors on-site.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and health & safety policies.
  • Participating in a call-out rota when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or Level 3 qualification in Electrical discipline.
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 qualifications (preferred).
  • Experience in building services, maintenance, or facilities management.
  • AP/CP qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive approach.
  • Security clearance required (5 years’ UK residency and a valid British/EU passport).
