Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, performant applications in both Java and Python.
• Leverage AWS services, including Lambda, to build serverless applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, create solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Apply OOP principles to develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Develop, test, and deploy microservices-based applications with NodeJS and serverless architectures.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for improved performance and scalability.
• Work with version control systems like Git and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality features and improvements on time.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java and Python development.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with AWS services, especially Lambda.
• Proficiency in serverless architecture design and deployment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microservices.
• In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and best practices.
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and modern software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and RESTful API development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing services (e.g., SQS, SNS).
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and debugging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).

Location: McLean – VA (Hybrid Role; Needs to work 3 days from Office in a week)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $120,000– $130,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
