We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to manage a pod of accounts comprised of serving best-selling authors, CEOs, and podcasters. This role includes setting unique strategies based on client objectives, overseeing engaging content creation, timely client communication, project management and team management of copywriters and engagement specialists.
YAP Media was founded in July 2020 and has quickly grown to 50 team members around the world without outside investment. In 2023, we delivered 500k followers, 2M+ likes, and 125M+ views for our clients. To support this lightning-fast growth, we are looking for an organized, service-minded, and meticulous Senior Social Media Manager.
Our social media services are the backbone of our company. We are the #1 LinkedIn Marketing agency and our clients include the world’s #1 Executive Leadership coach, a Shark Tank shark, and CEOs of billion-dollar companies. This position pulls together all teams (Creative, Copywriting, Engagement) to ensure top-notch white-glove service for our clients.

Responsibilities:
- Account Ownership. As the ultimate decision maker for their clients, your time will be spent reviewing client performance, addressing important client queries, confirming strategic direction is aligned with client priorities, and conducting routine research/analysis to ensure we are at the forefront of innovation for our clients.
- Client Communications. Provide comprehensive communications with clients, keeping them aware of ongoing efforts on their accounts as well as timely responses regarding any account questions or issues.
- Pod Management. Monthly 1:1’s with engagement specialists, copywriters, and content managers within your pod.
- Content Strategy. Drive timely, relevant content that aligns with client goals, integrating industry trends, emerging post types, and relevant national holidays.
- Research & Analyses. Conduct weekly research into clients’ competitors and industry trends. Analyze social media feeds to identify emerging trends that can be leveraged in client content. Strong understanding of the social platforms.
- Campaign Management. Monitor and maintain social media campaigns to ensure they are running properly and aligned with client priorities. Ensure that trackers are clean, up-to-date, and accurately reflect ongoing campaign engagement.
- Team Collaboration. Work closely with social media, creative, and engagement teams to ensure timely, on-brand content creation and engagement, as well as smooth cross-team workflows.
- Process Improvement. Help execute process improvement initiatives developed by VP of Social.
Results:
- Do not allow any emails or Slack messages to sit unanswered/unacknowledged for more than ½ a business day.
- Clients see MoM and QoQ metric increases and positive ROI actions (more clients, more sales, etc).
- Research and discover tests/trends resulting in new learnings.
- Clients have a positive working relationship with YAP and a positive impression of their investment in YAP’s services.
- Efforts per client account are strategic and measured, ensuring they are consistent with the client’s priorities.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of copywriting experience. Organic, personal brand experience is a major plus.
- 4+ years of social media management experience.
- Experience managing an individual’s personal brand on social media.
- Thorough understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram platforms + algorithms.
- Must be able to work Eastern (EST) hours.
