What We’re Looking For…

  • 5-10 years of freight forwarding business development/outside sales experience.
  • Possesses a book of business in international ocean, air and/or customs brokerage.
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality to continuously bring in new business opportunities.

Salary

$80,000-$100,000 annually based on experience and education level

  • PLUS: Uncapped commission, $500 monthly car allowance, company cell phone, laptop, and expense account*

About the Position Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Generate new business through cold calling, on average 40 calls per day.
  • Build and maintain a customer base by recognizing freight forwarding business opportunities.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to become well educated in all OEC products and services.
  • Offer solutions through OEC Group’s services including ocean, air, warehousing & distribution, LTL & FTL transportation, cargo insurance and customs brokerage.
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas set by the sales management team.
  • Utilize Sugar (CRM) to track client’s key information, build and maintain sales pipeline, and measure KPIs.
  • Work closely with the sales support team by reviewing quotes to ensure the client’s needs are met.
  • Meet with current and potential clients within assigned territory.
  • Maintain consistent communication with other departments and overseas offices.
  • Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions.
