Responsibilities:
- Review employee data to resolve pay discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
- Process manual checks and review Paycheck Inquiry Forms (PIF).
- Serve as a liaison between HRIS and Payroll, providing technical assistance to managers and timekeepers.
- Prepare and export time files for payroll processing.
- Maintain payroll metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Produce audit reports and provide research support to Accounting and Human Resources.
- Provide audit and technical support between systems and assist with annual payroll processes.
- Oversee staff and processes in the absence of the Payroll Manager.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and HR staff on special projects.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience ideally 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in automated payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
