Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of enterprise-level technology projects, particularly in technologies frequently used in the hospitality industry.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning processes, aligning projects with the broader organizational goals, ensuring maximum value for stakeholders in the UK and beyond.
  • Forecast resource allocation and contribute to capacity planning
  • Define project tasks and resource needs for strategic decision-making, develop detailed project plans, defining scope, timeline, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Establish clear project objectives
  • Define the responsibilities of key stakeholders involved in each project, including senior management, customers, project teams, vendors, and other affected parties. Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams and external partners to drive project success.
  • Ensure compliance with IT and company-wide policies and procedures, adapting global standards to the specific context of UK operations.
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure timely delivery and achievement of goals. Provide detailed reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Organize and conduct strategic project meetings, such as project kick-offs, steering committees, and executive updates to maintain alignment with company objectives.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and issues where necessary, and ensure proactive contingency planning to minimize impact on UK business operations.
  • Manage project financials, including budget forecasting and operational cost management, ensuring alignment with UK business priorities.
  • Mentor junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 8 to 12 years of project management experience or equivalent, with a strategic planning focus; PMP certification preferred.
  • Direct experience in the UK market or working on UK-based projects, with hospitality experience is beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise performance management systems and/or finance planning & consolidation processes.
  • Proven experience in risk identification, management, and mitigation with a strong emphasis on strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of both theoretical and practical applications of project management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Ability to travel within the UK and internationally as required, with flexibility for extended hours during high-priority project phases.
