About the Role

As our Founding Engineer, you’ll work directly with the cofounders to build and scale our platform from the ground up. You’ll play a critical role in designing and developing key features, ensuring scalability and performance, and contributing to the technical vision that will drive our success.

This isn’t just a coding role—you’ll take ownership, solve tough problems with creativity, and thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment where priorities can shift as we iterate to continue our exponential growth.

Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end features across the stack (frontend, backend, and APIs).
• Scalable Architecture: Architect and implement solutions that scale as we grow our user base and platform capabilities.
• AI Integration: Work closely with our technical cofounder to integrate cutting-edge AI models into intuitive workflows for insurance professionals.
• Ownership: Take full ownership of projects, from ideation to deployment, with minimal oversight.
• Collaboration: Partner with the cofounders, advisors, and early hires to deliver a product that wows our customers.
• Iterate Quickly: Experiment, prototype, and refine based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
• Build the Team: Help recruit, mentor, and shape the future engineering team as we scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a full stack engineer or similar engineering role with a proven track record of building and deploying web-based applications
• Required experience with one or more of the following: Ruby on Rails, Laravel, React, Node.js, Typescript
• Required experience setting up a cloud environment
• Preferred experience with some of the following: Tailwind, CI/CD, frontend web UI framework, PostgreSQL
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address dynamic, complex problems early
• Experience in an Agile Scrum environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range and Compensation Package

• Competitive cash compensation ($150k – $200k) and equity package
