Come join the COUNTRY Financial Network Security team as we start a significant effort to move infrastructure from on-premises to Infrastructure- and Platform-As-A-Service offerings. On this team, you will lead the design and implementation of the network security controls including firewall, intrusion prevention, microsegmentation, and their supporting processes to ensure both business and security requirements are met. You will partner with architecture to perform analysis and determine the best enterprise solution that balances both current and future needs. Finally, you will continue to investigate new capabilities through research, vendor roadmap discussions, and partnership with internal technology teams to ensure COUNTRY capabilities are modern, efficient, and reliable.
This position allows full-time remote work.
How does a Senior Cloud Network Security Engineer make an impact?
- Design, build, implement, and support COUNTRY’s IT solutions.
- Ensure IT solutions meet requirements for security, availability, capacity, resiliency, and performance in a way that is efficient and supportable, reducing overall support costs.
- Understand industry leading solutions and trends for assigned technologies and applying those as appropriate for COUNTRY.
- Understand business needs and partnering with appropriate IT counterparts to recommend technology solutions.
- Establish and maintain an IT multi-year strategy with a focus on continuous improvement. Create and maintain solutions architecture artifacts and other strategy and system documentation.
Do you have what we’re looking for?
- Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-based networking in Infrastructure-As-A-Service environments (e.g. Amazon, Microsoft).
- Extensive experience defining network security requirements that align with enterprise policies and standards.
- Extensive experience translating business requirements to technical requirements and implementing highly available solutions.
- Experience automating tasks through infrastructure-as-code and scripting methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
