Essential Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited program.
Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one (preference given to candidates with an active PE license).
Technical Expertise:
- Experience in drainage, grading, site preparation, stormwater prevention planning, stormwater retention, geotechnical characterization, and foundation design.
Industry Experience:
- At least five years of experience working within a project team environment on industrial design projects or power plant design.
Security Clearance:
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Department of Energy Experience:
- Previous work with Department of Energy (DOE) sites and facilities is highly desirable.
Design & Documentation:
- Proficiency in preparing design drawings, engineering analyses, calculations, and specifications for construction, fabrication, and procurement.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel periodically to Albuquerque and project sites for client meetings, site walk-downs, and presentations.
- Expected travel commitment: 3-5 days per month, varying based on project needs.
