Competitive salary range: $70,000 – $80,000
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience as an accountant in a public accounting firm
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
- Experience in Caseware/Caseview, Taxprep, MS Word, and Excel software
- Strong knowledge of assurance and accounting standards
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills (bilingualism is considered an asset)
About the role
If hired, you will:
- Take an active role in the planning of engagements
- Conduct large audit and review engagements, designing and modifying audit procedures
- Supervise junior staff and prepare engagement working papers, financial statements, and client correspondence
- Discuss financial statements and engagement issues with appropriate managers
- Manage engagements from start to completion, consulting directly with clients
- Participate in tax planning for corporate engagements and prepare corporate tax returns
- Understand clients’ operations and industry to gain insight into the scope of services
