Pay: $30/hr-$45/hr

Location: Englewood, CO

Duration: 6-12 month contract (Potential to extend or convert)

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience working within cybersecurity or related role
  • Experience with scanning and remediating vulnerabilities
  • Experience working through a ticketing system

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Security Analyst to support our cybersecurity team in identifying, tracking, and remediating security vulnerabilities across a large-scale environment. This role involves managing a substantial backlog of security-related tickets, following up with remediation teams, educating stakeholders on security issues, and ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vulnerability Remediation: Assist in addressing a backlog of 60,000 vulnerabilities, actively working through 15,000+ existing tickets in JIRA.
  • Ticket Management: Manage and track security vulnerabilities assigned to remediation teams. Ensure proper resolution by providing necessary information and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with remediation teams and tenants to facilitate vulnerability resolution. Educate teams on false positives, vulnerability definitions, and remediation strategies.
  • Enforcement & Follow-ups: If remediation teams fail to address vulnerabilities in a timely manner, enforce necessary actions, including potential system shutdowns.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyze security reports. Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing the vulnerability management workflow and provide recommendations for efficiency and effectiveness.
