Summary: The Architectural Sales Representative will play a key role in driving sales and promoting our countertop, flooring and hardscape products within the architectural and design community. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and other industry professionals to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and ultimately drive revenue growth.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue by $500k to $1M annually and achieve macro and micro sales targets/objectives in the architectural market segment.
- Identify and prioritize key architectural firms, design studios, and other relevant stakeholders to establish and nurture relationships that brings new customers to MSI.
- Actively prospect and engage with architects, designers, and specifiers to promote our products and services, resulting in MSI products being specified in current and future projects.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials, presentations, and product samples tailored to the architectural and design audience.
- Provide comprehensive product education and training sessions to architects, designers, and other decision-makers in the A&D space to showcase the features, benefits, and applications of our broad product offering.
- Track project opportunities through all stages of development, working cross functionally with local and national sales and operations teams to ensure accurate execution of all project goals and timelines.
Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a focus on selling architectural products or building materials.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and other industry professionals.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction processes, and project specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
