Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to drive and support sales initiatives, focusing on chemicals, paper, foodservice disposables, industrial packaging, and other key janitorial segments.
- Generate sales by proactively making cold calls to potential customers within the assigned territory and maintaining regular engagement with existing clients.
- Manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, qualifying leads, assessing customer needs, providing quotes, closing new accounts, and building strong client relationships.
- Develop deep industry and product knowledge to become a Subject Matter Expert, guiding customers toward the best solutions for their business needs.
- Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers and business partners.
- Work collaboratively to expand market share for key manufacturers and brands promoted by the company.
- Address and resolve customer concerns to ensure maximum satisfaction, working cross-functionally within the organization and with external suppliers.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, contracts, and reports, including status updates, sales activities, goals, and closed deals.
- Partner with the Marketing Team to develop and refine sales materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including Contracts, Category Management, Marketing, and Operations—to identify challenges and develop effective business solutions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A high school diploma (required); a college degree in sales, marketing, or business is preferred.
- 2-5 years of B2B outside sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills (a plus).
- Experience in JanSan, Industrial Packaging, or Foodservice.
