Sales & Marketing Manager

Role Overview

As a Sales & Marketing Manager at Scoular, you will be responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing sales and marketing activities for assigned products and services. You will manage profit and loss accountability, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sales metrics. This role requires the ability to analyze market trends, assess risk, and incorporate insights from internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors to drive sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships to understand their needs and business priorities.
  • Analyze market drivers and apply sales and merchandising fundamentals to enhance business effectiveness.
  • Proactively pursue new customer opportunities and build a robust pipeline to drive margin growth.
  • Negotiate pricing, logistics, and contract execution with customers while adhering to relevant trade regulations.
  • Utilize Scoular’s tools, processes, and systems to efficiently resolve customer concerns and improve service quality.
  • Generate leads, initiate contact with prospective clients, and develop competitive logistics solutions to secure new business.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across logistics, documentation, customer service, and product quality to meet customer needs.
  • Foster strong internal communication and networks to enhance collaboration.
  • May oversee and mentor sales representatives and support staff.

About You

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing, merchandising, or agribusiness-related roles.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Strong mathematical aptitude for pricing and financial analysis.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Supervisory experience, including employee development, coaching, and performance evaluations.
