The Role:
The Sales Manager will lead the development of strategies to target brokers and consultants, build organizational partnerships, and create strategic alliances within the energy industry.
This role requires a creative and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in the energy sector. The ideal candidate is an industry leader with strong business acumen and demonstrated experience developing and negotiating substantial contracts. They should be eager to join a fast-paced, innovative clean-technology company experiencing significant growth.
Responsibilities may include:
- Developing and owning the process for creating opportunities with assigned brokers/consultants.
- Building, maintaining, and expanding relationships at all levels within broker/consultant organizations, including owners, sales representatives, and pricing teams.
- Leveraging existing relationships with brokers/consultants in the ERCOT/PJM markets.
- Maintaining a revenue quota and a healthy sales pipeline.
- Representing the company professionally, diplomatically, and respectfully.
- Collaborating with a cross-functional project development team (pricing, operations, legal) to secure new business and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Leading customer meetings and contract negotiations.
- Scheduling appointments and meetings to identify sales opportunities, define success parameters, and qualify leads.
- Attending key networking events and trade shows to generate leads, promote Gridmatic’s image, and stay informed about critical industry issues.
Ideal candidates likely possess:
- At least seven (7) years of consultative and/or complex sales experience.
- Significant experience in a quota-driven sales environment, consistently exceeding targets.
- Strong prioritization skills and analytical abilities.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, even under pressure and unexpected circumstances.
- Ability to work effectively under stress and tight deadlines.
- A dynamic, well-organized personality and the ability to work independently.
