Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with company policies, ensuring tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety concerns as required.
- Safely operate a heavy truck along designated routes and disposal sites, following route sheets, maps, and dispatcher or supervisor instructions.
- Use manual and automatic controls to lift and load waste, operate the compactor, and properly dispose of collected materials, following company safety protocols.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers, dispatchers, and team members to ensure all routes are serviced efficiently.
- Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers in line with departmental procedures.
- Monitor waste loads continuously for unacceptable materials and report any issues.
- Clean any accidental waste spills in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Regularly check vehicle condition to ensure operational readiness, minimizing downtime. Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body after each disposal trip.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including route sheets, productivity reports, and vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
- Maintain productivity standards, ensuring timely and efficient customer service.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Actively participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement.
