Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in our Ob/Gyn department. Under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or RN Coordinator, the RN will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and leadership skills to assess, prioritize, and coordinate care for multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in an assigned clinical area.
- Serve as a leader within the unit, supporting both patients and team members.
- Utilize critical thinking to assess and prioritize patient needs, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
- Maintain compliance with legal, organizational, and professional nursing standards.
- Promote a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
Qualifications:
Education
- Required: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
Experience
- Required: Minimum 6 months of clinical experience.
- Alternative Consideration: 1 year of experience at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic may be accepted in place of the 6-month RN experience requirement, with approval from the Senior Director of Nursing Services.
- Preferred: At least two years of experience in ambulatory care.
Licenses & Certifications
- Required: Active and valid Texas RN license.
- Preferred: Specialty certification in ambulatory care or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Required:
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and supplies relevant to the assigned clinical area.
- Experience with CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy.
- Basic computer skills.

- Experience with Windows-based systems.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records (EHR).
