A well known Medical Center located in New Jersey has an immediate need for a Registered Nurse to work in ICU Step-Down CWR

Type: Contract

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Location: New Jersey

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.

Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.

Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.

Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manages care of patients.

Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.

Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

Other Duties And Responsibilities As Assigned.

Float to units within competency as required.

Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit.

Requirements

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

BLS and ACLS from AHA required

ASN Required. BSN Preferred.

Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.

Must have a strong MS/Tele background.

Ventilator preferred

Post-cardiac Surgery Experience Preferred

Post-surgical experience preferred

MS/Tele background preferred

NIHSS certification required

CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours

Telemetry certification or competency exam
