What You Will Do
- Demonstrate accountability and commitment to professional nursing practice by actively participating in the nurse residency program.
- Consistently meet the performance expectations outlined in the residency curriculum to ensure successful program completion.
- Engage with the Transition to Practice Coordinator, department leadership, educators, preceptors, colleagues, and fellow nurse residents to foster effective learning and professional development for a smooth transition into independent practice.
- Apply nursing knowledge and the nursing process to deliver high-quality care to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
- Delegate tasks and provide appropriate supervision to other healthcare team members in executing patient care plans.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs, preferences, and safety are prioritized.
- Uphold ethical and legal standards in nursing practice.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental compliance policies, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
- Deliver exceptional patient care through Relationship-Based Care, emphasizing safety, patient preferences, and effective communication in partnership with patients and families.
- Uphold the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Perform additional duties as assigned. Compliance with HIPAA regulations is mandatory.

Licensure
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado or a compact state.
