    The successful candidate must be available to work PRN, Monday – Friday, from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, covering at least three days per week and/or time-offs. Rotating call duty is required, currently every third week, with minimal, if any, callbacks in Interventional Radiology (IR) and CT.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Continuously evaluates patients holistically across all Medical Imaging Department modalities and informs physicians and healthcare professionals of any condition changes. Adjusts treatment according to the multidisciplinary care plan and manages IV and port access.
    • Therapeutic Interventions & Procedure Support: Plans, delivers, and evaluates interventions based on patient needs, documenting all procedures. Provides support to Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, and Mammography teams, administers conscious sedation, and monitors post-procedure recovery.
    • Patient & Family Education: Educates patients and their families about disease processes, treatment side effects, health promotion, and post-procedure care to support informed decision-making. Documents all education provided and assists in scheduling for efficient department flow.
    • Compliance & Quality Improvement: Ensures adherence to hospital policies and accrediting agency standards while actively participating in policy development, review, and updates. Contributes to the department’s Performance Improvement plan.
    • Medication Management: Obtains allergy information, reconciles medications with patients or family members, and communicates updates to providers. Verifies physician orders, administers prescribed medications and treatments, and monitors patient responses.

    Qualifications

    • Active Georgia RN license from an accredited institution.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or must be enrolled within six months of hire, with completion within three years.
    • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
    • ACLS certification preferred (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
    • 1-3 years of RN experience in a bedside care setting required.
    • Experience in Oncology and/or Medical Imaging preferred.
    • Recent ICU and/or OR experience is a plus.AccessHope™, which extends expertise to patients nationwide
