Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and care, including tube feedings and tracheostomy care.
- Conduct nursing assessments as needed to promptly identify and address health concerns.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care, keeping the nurse manager informed.
- Provide health education to residents and their families, including supporting self-medication programs as directed.
- Lead in-service training for staff to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures, fostering a culture of excellence in care delivery.
- Communicate health updates with the interdisciplinary team, actively participating in staff meetings and monthly reviews with the QIDP.
- Complete quarterly assessments in a timely manner while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation.
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, carrying an emergency contact phone and responding as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the efficient operation of the program.
