OVERVIEW

Beyond Meat seeks a REMOTE Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region. This role is crucial for driving growth within the Foodservice business. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will collaborate with Brokers, Distributors, Operators, and Strategic Partners to achieve company objectives.

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Field Sales, the RSM will be responsible for net revenue, volume, distribution, and share growth across Commercial and Non-Commercial Foodservice channels, including Retail Foodservice and Industrials. This role demands high energy, deep Foodservice industry knowledge, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is collaborative, driven, results-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Acumen:

  • Achieve assigned net revenue, volume, distribution, and share goals within budget.
  • Develop strategic regional business plans aligned with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and take ownership of results.

Broker Management:

  • Build strong relationships with Brokers, engaging, motivating, and leading them as an extension of the sales team.
  • Translate national broker priorities into regional plans, providing tools and training.

Distributor Leadership:

  • Manage relationships with key broadline distributors, fostering mutual growth.
  • Collaborate with distributor leaders on joint category plans and execute quarterly initiatives.
  • Develop sales programs and introduce new products to distributor representatives.
  • Represent Beyond Meat at distributor events, driving new business and category leadership.
  • Pursue new distributor partnerships to expand market reach.

New Business Development:

  • Prospect and sell Beyond Meat products to large regional chain partners, meeting AOP goals.
  • Build lasting relationships with key stakeholders within regional chains.
  • Leverage relationships with Food Management Companies and Group Purchasing Organizations to accelerate distribution opportunities.
  • Identify segment priorities based on business mix and share data, driving growth in untapped markets.

Communication:

  • Clearly communicate expectations and goals to external partners, providing feedback and conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, marketing agreements, and growth programs.
  • Analyze Broker and Distributor reports and provide bi-weekly summaries.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline through the CRM weekly.
  • Coordinate sample shipments and information requests with partners.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience.
  • 7+ years of CPG Foodservice sales, distributor, and regional key account management experience with branded products.
  • 3+ years of sales agency (broker) management experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and AOP goals.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with trade budget management experience.
  • Exceptional strategic sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High integrity and commitment to teamwork.
  • Results-oriented self-starter with a proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong understanding of market share reports.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and trade management systems.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
