Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Southwest (CA / AZ preferred)
Job Summary: As the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) at Abracon, you will lead sales efforts in your assigned territories. You will manage relationships with manufacturer representative (REP) companies and key strategic accounts, driving both core/legacy sales and new product introductions. Your goal is to secure new designs and capture demand creation initiatives in real-time using our CRM system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales and margin targets in your assigned territories.
- Collaborate with manufacturer’s representatives to enhance sales efforts.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with end-customers and key decision-makers in purchasing, operations, and engineering.
- Identify and pursue new clients and projects.
- Develop effective quote strategies.
- Coordinate activities among internal salespeople, REPs, and distributors.
- Negotiate pricing between customers and distributors.
- Track and report all regional opportunities.
- Create and implement growth strategies for key strategic customers, ensuring accurate and current CRM records.
- Monitor competitor activities and maintain an annual business plan for the region.
- Stay informed about industry structure, applications, terminology, trends, and issues.
- Understand customers’ primary business goals, operations, challenges, and requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 8 years of professional sales experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets, or at least 5 years of sales experience in the electronic component industry.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong prospecting skills and techniques.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and initiate sales activities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and manage large projects simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and trust.
- Strong time management skills and results oriented.
- Willingness to travel within the region (30-40% of the time).
- Conduct quarterly sales/business reviews with local sales representatives.
