This is a part-time on-site role for a Receptionist at Bikkurim Studios located downtown in the ByWard market in the Greater Ottawa Metropolitan Area. The Receptionist will be responsible for handling all receptionist and clerical duties at the front desk of our office.

Job Summary
We seek an organized, creative, and arts-loving Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, support event preparation, and assist in promoting performances. If you have a passion for the performing arts, excellent communication skills, and satisfactory experience in graphic design, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. *Event Support*: Assist in preparing for events, concerts, and recitals, including setup, coordination, and teardown.
2. *Customer Service*: Provide exceptional hospitality to customers, clients, and visitors, ensuring a positive experience.
3. *Graphic Design*: Create promotional posters, videos, and reels to advertise events, utilizing basic graphic design skills.
4. *Promotions*: Assist in planning and implementing marketing strategies to increase event awareness.
5. *Communication*: Respond to inquiries, manage phone calls, and engage with patrons via email and social media.
6. *Collaboration*: Work effectively with artists, performers, staff, and other creatives to ensure smooth event execution.
7. *Administrative Tasks*: Manage schedules, update event calendars, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
8. *Venue Maintenance*: Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a professional environment.
Requirements
1. Experience in customer service, administration, or a related field
2. Strong knowledge of the performing arts and its activities
3. Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut etc.)
4. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
6. Positive, hardworking attitude and passion for the arts
7. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working in a performing arts setting
2. Familiarity with event management software and social media platforms
3. Basic video editing skills
4. Knowledge of marketing principles
5. High School Certificate/ College Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google suite (Planner, Excel, Powerpoint)
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
