We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in data center management, Microsoft technologies, and large-scale logistical planning to lead a Windows Server upgrade across 400+ servers. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational management skills, with the ability to coordinate and communicate.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in data center management, Microsoft technologies, and large-scale logistical planning to lead a Windows Server upgrade across 400+ servers. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational management skills, with the ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple teams, manage timelines effectively, and oversee the project from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop, document, and execute a comprehensive project plan for upgrading Windows servers across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including IT, data center operations, and vendor partners, to establish project goals and timelines.

Schedule and Logistics Management:

  • Create detailed schedules to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Oversee logistics, including resource allocation, server access, and hardware/software compatibility.
  • Track progress, mitigate risks, and adjust schedules to meet changing project requirements.

Data Center and Microsoft Server Expertise:

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of data center best practices to ensure efficient and secure deployment of the Windows server upgrade.
  • Oversee software installations, configurations, and upgrades in compliance with Microsoft standards and organizational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Windows Server infrastructure.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:

  • Regularly update stakeholders on project milestones, potential risks, and remediation steps.
  • Prepare and present status reports to management and relevant teams.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects, ideally involving Windows Server upgrades or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in data center operations and Microsoft server environments.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and logistics coordination skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage complex schedules.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2) and/or Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience with cloud or hybrid server environments is a plus.
