Overview

Under the guidance of the Foreman and other supervisory personnel responsible for coordinating plant maintenance and operations, the Plumber will be tasked with installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
  • Review and interpret building plans and specifications to determine plumbing layouts and material needs
  • Ensure that all installations, repairs, and maintenance comply with code requirements, including testing pipe systems and fixtures
  • Be open to cross-trade work as needed
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license with current insurance

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Journeyman Certification in Plumbing with 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong expertise in water distribution and wastewater disposal systems
  • Knowledge of hoisting and rigging techniques
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, written and verbal communication, and presentations
  • Ability to mentor fellow employees and help enhance their skill sets
  • May be required to operate power tools
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
