Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Planner to join our team. This position is based at our Glenolden, PA facility.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 – $95700.0 a year.

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for the materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products. Plans and coordinates receipt and inventory of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Is expected to utilize various business systems, a variety of reports and other related tools to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze current and future demand requirements with manufacturing capabilities/capacities to ensure completion for meeting customer requirements
  • Initiates required system transactions to allocate, purchase, internally manufacture or reschedule material as required
  • Expedites material, where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements including adjustments as a result of scrap, damage or loss of parts
  • Analyzes data, including material requirements planning information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal plan execution
  • Report out on metrics and current conditions in your area of responsibility
  • Maintains planning parameters in order execution systems (such as MFGPro) to ensure proper order generation
  • Calculate and report out on monthly key customer risk based on component shortages
  • Review respective production line capacity and fill/smooth out based constraints, discuss and report out on weekly meetings with production group
  • Analyzes and manages inventory levels in relation to customer requirements to meet profit and inventory targets and goals
  • Supports cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives
  • Support weekly production meetings with accurate shortage information through interactions with other departments.
  • Track and record OTD misses and adjustments with reasons for lateness
  • On time placement and expediting of process orders
  • Determine adjustments to inventory as a result of scrap, damage or loss of parts
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives through kitting and value stream mapping activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supply chain function or similar role.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Glenolden, PA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Preferred
  • Strong understanding of MRP mechanics and order generation process logic
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Ability to speak to all levels of operation (shop floor production, VSMs, Leads, Leadership, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
  • Knowledge of ERP / MRP, Accounting / Finance principles and spreadsheet software
