Geriatrician Responsibilities
- Promote the well-being and independence of aging adult patients.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions and injuries commonly associated with the aging process.
- Refer patients to specialists for conditions beyond the scope of geriatric care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor and manage patients’ medication regimens to prevent adverse side effects and drug interactions.
- Assess the benefits and risks of treatments, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Address patients’ physical, mental, and emotional health needs holistically.
- Demonstrate compassion and strong communication skills when discussing advance care planning, including long-term care options, palliative care, and hospice services with patients and their families.

Qualifications
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in relevant specialty.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
