About the Job
The role involves reviewing and analyzing provider documentation to assign accurate final diagnoses and procedure codes, ensuring compliance with all coding policies and regulations. This includes coding office and hospital procedures to facilitate proper reimbursement and delivering education to physicians on accurate documentation and correct assignment of ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT codes through verbal, written, and in-person communication.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3 years in orthopedic nursing or related roles such as nurse navigator. Experience in perioperative or progressive care and insurance authorization processes preferred.

Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licensure: Must have active RN license in Florida or eligibility under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Florida license must be obtained within 90 days of residency if applicable.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire. ONC certification preferred.

Travel: Up to 10% required.
