About the job

Job Title: Physical Therapist

Schedule: Monday – Friday

  • Standard Shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Occasional Shifts: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Location: Report at 9:00 AM to 55

Dress Code: Gray scrubs

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and develop personalized treatment plans to improve patient mobility, function, and quality of life.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for patients in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families about physical therapy procedures, rehabilitation goals, and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and care plans in compliance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Required).
  • Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (Preferred).
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid New York State Physical Therapist License (Required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
  • APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) Membership (Preferred).

Experience:

Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting is strongly preferred.
