What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with studio lighting, professional DSLR cameras, and high-quality microphones to capture compelling footage.
- Film in varied locations, including public spaces and a compact studio/office setting.
- Manage equipment transportation, setup, and teardown for shoots.
- Edit video content to produce a polished, visually engaging final product.
- Create eye-catching product photography, using Lightroom & Photoshop for final edits.
- Develop video content for a range of purposes, including:
- Product reviews
- Launches & promotional campaigns
- Vlogs & social media short clips
- Other branded content
- Participate in off-site productions and various errands outside the office.
- Travel up to 25% for shoots and projects.
- Maintain a strong eye for cinematography, product shooting, and editing, always striving to enhance quality.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, visual styles, and editing techniques.
- Work independently, managing all aspects of video production from pre-production to final delivery.
- Be physically capable of handling and operating camera and audio equipment.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining top performance.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in video production (4+ years preferred).
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in film production or related field preferred).

Position Overview
The candidate will be responsible for the editing and visual coverage of news events, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and impartiality. This role involves capturing both live and recorded footage of news events and programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Photograph and record news events for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Edit video content to align with scripts provided by reporters, producers, or associate producers, whether in-house or on location.
- Collaborate with reporters to craft comprehensive, compelling stories, offering input on production techniques.
- Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles in proper working condition, completing all necessary paperwork.
- Set up remote transmission for live broadcasts or digital file feeds from field locations.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in Photography, Editing, and Live Truck operations.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record (driving a news vehicle is a daily requirement).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Capable of making independent decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and schedules as required by business needs.
