Akkodis is hiring for a Payroll Specialist to work for our client based in the Healthcare industry.
Location: onsite in Portland, OR
Employment type: contract through May 2025
Pay: $22/hr
The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing. This position is responsible for reviewing, coding, calculating, and processing payroll documents and adjustments within the Oracle Payroll System. The role requires close collaboration with Human Resources and departmental timekeepers to maintain accurate timekeeping and personnel data, as well as providing support to employees, departments, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Review and verify the accuracy of payroll documents and data.
- Process Federal and State W-4 forms, timekeeping setup forms, and waivers of differentials in the Oracle Payroll System.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Respond to and fulfill subpoena requests, verifications of employment, and unemployment claims in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Employee and Departmental Support:
- Address inquiries from employees, timekeepers, and departments regarding payroll-related matters, including direct deposits, statement of earnings, and W-2 reprints.
- Manage the intake, processing, and delivery of payroll documents such as garnishments and checks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Familiarity with Oracle Payroll Systems or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
