Patient Registration Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with patients, referral sources, sales teams, pharmacy, and nursing staff to coordinate discharges, secure nursing services, and arrange deliveries.
• Gather, communicate, and obtain all necessary documentation for new patient referrals.
• Facilitate upfront patient payments, assisting patients in identifying financial assistance options when needed.
• Support ongoing efforts to ensure clean claims processing and denial management, following up on any missing paperwork.
• Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special projects as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• No supervisory duties (e.g., hiring, promotions, scheduling, performance reviews, or disciplinary actions).

Basic Education & Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience required.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests:

• Previous healthcare or medical billing experience is preferred.
