Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Painter & Decorator to join our team in Salford and the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. This full-time, permanent role offers 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary of £28,392 per annum. In addition, you will receive a company van (for commercial use only), a fuel card, and excellent benefits!

Key Responsibilities for the Painter & Decorator Role:
- Perform full painting and decorating duties
- Identify and address defects in paintwork
- Prepare internal walls and ceilings for painting or wallpapering
- Apply emulsion paints to internal walls/ceilings, following correct preparation procedures
- Burn off old paint from windows, doors, fascia, and soffits
- Paint both external and internal surfaces
- Stain external hardwood doors and windows
- Apply patterned anaglypta wall coverings
- Treat mould and condensation issues
- Apply preservatives to external timber (fencing, gates)
- Communicate with customers, working from written and verbal instructions, including drawings, sketches, and measurements
What We’re Looking For in the Ideal Candidate:
- Completed a recognized Apprenticeship and relevant qualification (NVQ L2 or L3), with certificates required
- Proficient in all aspects of painting and decorating, with experience in maintenance work on domestic properties, including high-rise buildings
- Background in general painting work, including working in confined spaces
- Experience in social housing maintenance
- A current UK driving licence is essential
- CSCS card, asbestos awareness, and own tools preferred
